Perbanas Institute focus on economics, finance, business, banking and information technology studies. Undergraduate Program in Management is one of the departments that has learning goals to develop student knowledge and skill related to management functions of planning, organizing, directing, and controlling.

Curriculum Policy

Using the latest possible curriculum,  Undergraduate Program in Management always keep up to date to the business and economic trend internationally, but still in line with the national standard on education. During the curriculum implementation, head of department have to keep on the radar to predict the future demand, and input from student, lecturer and professional to prepare student in the future. The latest curriculum called as ‘Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka – freedom of learning program’ curriculum.

Management of Curriculum

Undergraduate Program in Management has three concentration that focused on FinanceMarketing and Human Resources Management. Student has fundamental subject, mandatory subject and concentration subject that enable student to choose on what major that they may develop. Most of basic subject offered in the first and second semester, mandatory subject in the third to fifth semester, and concentration subject offered in the sixth and seventh semester. The last semester is fully used for thesis writing, defence and exam. Concentration subject has three option. There are financial management, marketing management and human resources management. Financial management is a concentration that focuses on managing the finances of an organization, from extracting, utilizing, and controlling funds. Marketing management concentration covers all techniques in marketing a product as well as strategy analysis to be able to win business competition, both in local and international markets. Human resources management related to strategic human capital and Talent development which focuses its attention on regulating the role of human resources as Capital and Talent in their activities and activities within an organization.

Improvement of Educational Quality

Using curriculum that always in line with the national standard of education and research ministry regulation, market demand, and future development of management topics worldwide. In management department, feedback, input, idea, suggestion and recommendation accommodated every semester change trough questionnaire and online form. Department will accumulate and suggest for curriculum update every two years. The latest is 2021 curriculum version.

Diploma Policy

Overall subject includes the thesis writing are 146 course credit. Each subject contains:

  • General Skills
  • Knowledge
  • Special Skills

Student must follow the basic, mandatory, and concentration subject to reach thesis writing block in eighth semester. Eligibility test consisted of English language test, plagiarism check, thesis exam, prerequisite subject that has minimum score is C and pass the certification related to banking and capital market to be equivalent with competency examination. That will lead to graduate of Perbanas Institute that has good attitude, prominent skill and sufficient knowledge to compete in the industry.

Learning Outcome Review

The outcome of the program is to produce graduates with a DisciplinedCriticalInnovative attitude; prepare graduates with scientific competence and practice in finance and banking, provide graduates who have a strong technological base and knowledge; and have graduates with entrepreneurial skill and mindset in the world of advance technology. Student of Undergraduate Program in Management expected to understand and has the ability to demonstrate management science and practice.

Globalization of Educational Programs

The education program always updated based on national and international issue related to the management areas. Using international books and references to develop and improve knowledge and skill to prepare for future competition. Lectures are combination from academician and professional from the industries. Faculty member are encouraged to join international seminar and academic conferences, and student motivated to publish their research in international journal. To maintain and develop partnership with International institution, faculty member and student are expected to make collaboration trough seminars, research, publication and partnership.


Undergraduate Program in Management has several advantages that make this study program worthy of international accreditation. These advantages include A score accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia; curriculum that is up to date and able to accommodate market needs; lecturers are a combination of academics and practitioners; lecturer research that are published in various national and international journals; community service program collaboration between lecturers and students; as well as several supporting programs that support students to be able to compete outside campus.

Undergraduate Program in Management in Perbanas Institute has an A accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia. This shows that the Undergraduate Program in Management has met the national standards that must be fulfilled by a higher education institution. This is inseparable from the seriousness of the management and the cooperation of the entire academic community in creating an academic culture that encourages the achievement of the vision and mission of study programs and institutions.

A Curriculum That is Able to Accommodate the Needs of Stakeholders

The curriculum of Undergraduate Program in Management is the latest version of processes that have been carried out for more than one year. The process includes a needs analysis of industries that will use graduates of the Undergraduate Program in Management, an analysis of trends in working in the community, as well as the needs of the community who will send their children to higher education. These various processes are combined to produce a curriculum that can accommodate the various needs of stakeholders. Such curriculum has a vision for the future. Moreover, it is able to collaborate with advances in technology as well as to answer the needs of industry and society for reliable management graduates. Some examples of courses in the Undergraduate Program in Management curriculum include digital financial transaction systems and start-up management.

Combination of Lecturer that Have Academics and Practitioners Background

In addition to the curriculum, lecturers are also an important indicator to assess the quality of a higher educational institution. Lecturers in Undergraduate Program in Management are a combination of academics and practitioners. These academics and practitioners continue to work hand in hand in creating a campus culture that is dynamic and has a vision for the future. The collaboration between academics and practitioners has also contributed greatly to the formation of students who not only understand management concepts, but are also agile so that they are able to adapt to the work environment.

Lecturer Publications

Another indicator of higher education quality is the ability of lecturers to publish writings that reflect their ideas in various media. The works of Perbanas Institute lecturers have succeeded in penetrating various scientific journals, both nationally and internationally. Some of them become reviewers in various business and management journals. Another media that is the work of lecturers is in the form of books. This ratio can be seen in Indonesian publication index that every semester has significant improvement in publication and citation.

Community Service Program

Community service programs which are collaborations between lecturers and students are always carried out by the Undergraduate Program in Management, either as part of the implementation of the Institution’s work program, or as an initiation from the lecturers. The form of community service can usually be seen in the form of coaching for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The latest program that was recently carried out was the coaching of 800 Jakarta entrepreneurs (Jakpreneur) which was held at the end of June 2021. In this activity, Lecturers of the Undergraduate Program in Management provided guidance in various matters, such as digital marketing, making simple financial reports, and others.

Cooperation with Various Institutions

Cooperation with various institutions, both educational and non-educational institutions is also established by the Undergraduate Program in Management. Cooperation with educational institutions is carried out with institutions at the national and international levels. The closest to be implemented is a collaboration in the form of student exchanges with other Indonesian University and aboard which will be held in the 2021/2022 academic year. In addition to various educational institutions, the Undergraduate Program in Management (under the coordination of the Faculty of Economics and Business) also collaborates with various companies. The latest thing to do is collaborate with banking and other financing company in sending students for internship or gaining work experience for a certain period of time.

Other Supporting Programs

Other supporting programs provided by the Undergraduate Program in Management department are providing students with Dealing Room Laboratory materials; encourage certification as a substitute for competency exams which are a requirement for student graduation; encourage students to have a certain TOEFL score. The provision of Lab Dealing Room materials is carried out with the aim of developing knowledge and education in the field of treasury banking to students. In the Dealing Room Lab, students will be given knowledge and practical opportunities about money market transactions, foreign exchange, and buying and selling securities using software. Currently, Perbanas Institute is the only private university that has a dealing room laboratory. Encouraging students to take certification programs at qualified certification institutions is also a support that Undergraduate Program in Management do to improve the competitiveness of students and graduates. The recommended certifications are certifications related to management fields such as marketing management, financial management, and human resource management. Encouraging students to have a decent English literature by using TOEFL score is one of the study program’s efforts to improve the English language skills of students and graduates, so that they are able to compete at the international level. The minimum TOEFL score that the students must have in order to graduate from Perbanas Institute is 450. These three programs are believed to increase students’ competitive value that make them agile. Therefore, these three things are used as prerequisites for students of the Management S-1 study program who have to register for the final exam.
